Dangerously Poetic monthly writing circle
Marcel Proust slogged away in a cork- lined room, but you don’t have to.
Come along to the monthly writing circle— open to all.
Whether you are a seasoned poet or just trying your hand at it for the first time, you are welcome to join in.
Held on the second Wednesday of each month from 1-3pm, we will meet at The Wheel of Life in Brunswick Heads behind the Anglican church on Fingal Street. (Across from Memorial Hall)
The next gathering will be on Weds. the 9th of May 1-3 pm.
We will begin with a poetry prompt and free writing exercise to stimulate the creative urge. Then if you have a poem in process, you are encouraged to bring along copies and we will offer nurturing feedback. Feel free to come along even if you haven’t a poem to share. It is a joyful learning process to help mid-wife each other’s poems. Also, if you have someone else’s poem that has particularly touched you or one of yours that feels finished, bring that along to share.
To cover the cost of the hall, the afternoon will be $10/$8 for DP members.
